Chris Blackwell, Adrian Boot and Neil Storey get animated

Another remarkable experience when Neil got to conduct more interviews with Chris Blackwell at his home at Golden Eye in Jamaica. This time they spent time talking about not just the albums featured in Volume 2 of The island Book of Records, but a whole heap more.

This second volume kicks off with a long feature on Blind Faith and how the biggest pop concert in Hyde Park in 1969 made the headline in all the newspapers – not because it was a great band playing – but because there was no violence! Also in this volume are Spooky Tooth and why Ceremony destroyed them, Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson’s dislike of the Benefit album cover, King Crimson startle everyone both musically and with that album cover, Traffic re-form, Fairport Convention recover from Martin Lamble’s untimely death while CB explains he had no intention of signing Cat Stevens… until he played him one particular song. But what was it..?

… meanwhile back to Golden Eye….  and who turns up but bad-boy photographer Adrian Boot, who captured most of the Bob Marley pictures you’ve ever seen.

What a trifecta!
