Thats quite a jaw-dropping sentence to live up to … but when its coming from Peter Paphides… it just might ring true. Peter might know quite a lot about contemporary music being is a renown rock journalist and author. As former chief rock critic of The Times, he also presented their weekly podcasts, wrote for The Guardian, Mojo, Q magazine. Melody Maker, Time Out. He has also made documentaries and broadcast series on vinyl
The amazing accolade has come from Paphides, in a quote to Manchester Univerity Press which has featured on X (twitter)
But wait, if you really want to see a bit of knowledge and action from Mr Paphides… it might be better if you rock up to the club 21Soho on Thursday November 21… for the LIVE event when Neil Storey is interviewed by Peter as “a launch event for the third volume of Neil Storey’s acclaimed history of Island Records.”
